Carey’s photography career began as a seed planted during his 22 years in the entertainment industry as a Big Purple Dinosaur in front of a camera. When he moved behind the lens, his passion grew quickly, beginning with shooting event photography for Texas and national musicians and bands: artists having fun creating on both ends of the lens. It then expanded to encompass corporate, portrait, wedding, and fine art photography through his dedication to listening to clients, artistic technique informed and refined by a multi-faceted life experience, and the art of the possible.
Today he can be found across the Fort Worth area shooting events through a unique lens and giving back to the photography community by teaching aspiring photographers via Collin College Continuing Education and online Wyzant tutoring.
Carey is also host and executive producer of Purple Roads, a podcast/videocast in which he interviews personalities from the children’s entertainment world. .Purple Roads
